Hub International Limited, a global insurance brokerage, announced that it has acquired Forum Risques et Assurance Inc, a Montreal-based boutique insurance brokerage and risk management firm. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Additionally, Hub has acquired the assets of Chicago-based Sheridan Road Financial LLC, an institutional investment consulting and private wealth firm offering investment management, retirement plan expertise, fiduciary services, wealth management, financial and retirement services planning and specialized executive benefit services.

AAIS (American Association of Insurance Services), a national not-for-profit insurance advisory organization, announces the most recent release of its openIDL blockchain platform with additional features including improved Data Call transparency and communication capabilities specifically designed for insurance regulators, enriched core data sets, and innovative blockchain data architecture.

Auffenberg Insurance Services joined Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA), a cohesive family of over 120 independent insurance agencies in Missouri and Illinois. Founded in 2018, Auffenberg Insurance Services was previously Auffenberg Allstate created in 2012 by co-owners Mike Auffenberg and Nathan Schumacher. The full-service agency specializes in personal lines, as well as fleet and employee workplace benefits.

Greenlight Capital Re, a specialist property and casualty reinsurance company headquartered in the Cayman Islands, has announced it is making an investment in AccuRisk Solutions, a Chicago-based managing general underwriter (MGU) focused on employee and health insurance benefits. Greenlight Re is now the largest shareholder in AccuRisk.

Policygenius, an online insurance marketplace, announced it is expanding to offer home insurance and auto insurance. Since launching in 2014, Policygenius has served over 5 million customers.

AmTrust Financial Services recently launched AmTrust Forward, an organization-wide program focused on leveraging the Company’s unique strengths to offer select commercial P&C products and services globally where it can differentiate its offering and bring added value.

Brit Limited, a global specialty insurer and reinsurer, announced its investment in Sutton Special Risk, a leading MGU, specializing in accident & health business. Sutton will retain its independence, continuing to underwrite as an MGU on behalf of its existing broad panel of Lloyd’s syndicates and international carriers.

In 2019, American Educational Institute (AEI) is celebrating 50 years of educating the claims professional through self-study claims law programs.
