Insurance Nexus reveals Insurance Innovation Awards winners

Slice, Verisk and American Family were among this year's winners.

The insurance industry is home to many innovators. In order to recognize those at the forefront of innovation, Insurance Nexus orchestrated the Insurance Innovation Awards to celebrate the organizations, individuals and technology partners who are driving innovation in the North American insurance space.

The Insurance Innovation Awards happened in conjunction with the Connected Insurance USA Summit going on November 28th-30th in Chicago. The judging panel included Stephen Applebaum, principal, Insurance Solutions Group; Celia Clinciu, director, InsurTechNews; Matteo Carbone, founder and director, IoT Insurance Observatory; and Emma Sheard, head of insurance, Insurance Nexus.

The votes are in

After much deliberation, the judges announced the following winners:

Slice — Innovation Vendor of the Year

Verisk — People’s Choice Innovation Vendor of the Year

American Family — Innovation Carrier of the Year

American Modern Insurance — People’s Choice Innovation Carrier of the Year

Michelle Rustler, American Family — Innovation Leader of the Year

Ilya Bodner, founder, Bold Penguin — People’s Choice Innovation Leader of the Year

Streamlabs — Best Booth at Connected Insurance USA 2018
