The Hartford has appointed Christopher Lowell to lead its small business innovation lab. Prior to joining The Hartford, Lowell was a leader of corporate strategy and research at Liberty Mutual.

Louis Roi has joined NFP‘s Chicago team as a managing director and practice leader for Commercial P&C. Roi spent part of his career at Willis Towers Watson and Arthur J. Gallagher, and most recently led Hylant’s Chicago office.

Ascot Group Limited has appointed John O’Brien executive vice president and head of environmental. He was previously president of environmental businesses at both Ironshore and AIG.

Joe Reynolds has been named an assistant vice president in the national environmental and construction professional liability practice at RT Specialty/New Day. Before this, he served as vice president — architects & engineers product head at Hiscox Insurance and vice president, executive underwriter in XL Catlin’s design professional division.

The ECONA Network, North America’s largest full contents restoration network, has named Russ Jacobs quality assurance manager. He will lead members in utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to restore more contents to the benefit of both homeowners and insurance carriers.

Tami Singer has joined WSS, part of XPT, a specialty insurance distribution company, as senior vice president of the commercial lines department. Over the past 13 years, Singer has served as commercial lines manager at Burns & Wilcox.

Topa Insurance Group has announced that Cynthia Morrison will be retiring as senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) on Jan. 31, 2019. Lawrence Genalo, formerly assistant vice president of financial planning and analysis, will assume the role of vice president and CFO during the transition.

Ross Howard will become vice chairman of Guy Carpenter & Company LLC upon the closing of a transaction between Guy Carpenter’s parent company, Marsh & McLennan Companies and Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc, which remains subject to ht receipt of certain antitrust and financial regulatory approvals.

Frenkel & Company, an EPIC Company, has announced that Tandis Nili has joined the firm’s operations in New York as senior vice president and leader of the global services division. Prior to joining Frenkel, Nili served as a director of the small & medium enterprises division at Aon.

Chlora Lindley-Myers was elected treasurer of the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission at its annual meeting in San Francisco. She currently serves as the Missouri director of insurance, financial institutions and professional registration.
