Travelers Foundation opens application for 2019 Community Resilience Award
The recipient of the 2019 Travelers Excellence in Community Resilience Award will receive $100,000.
Travelers’ charitable organization the Travelers Foundation announced Tuesday that it has opened applications for its annual Travelers Excellence in Community Resilience Award.
The award recognizes non-profits that are dedicated to helping communities prepare for and recover from catastrophic events. The winning organization will receive a $100,000 grant, presented at a disaster preparedness symposium in spring 2019 hosted by Travelers.
In a statement, Marlene Ibsen, CEO and President of the Travelers Foundation said ensuring that the appropriate disaster preparation, response and recovery plans are in place can make a significant difference in the amount of time it takes for a community to bounce back after a catastrophe occurs.
