Kyle Schmitt has been hired as managing director of the global insurance practice at J.D. Power. He previously worked as a director leading business strategy within key operating units at State Farm Insurance Companies.
AmTrust at Lloyd’s (ATL), the Lloyd’s operation of AmTrust Financial Services Inc., has appointed Lucy Forcey senior underwriter, North American property cat treaty, a new line of business for ATL Syndicate 1861. Forcey began her career in 2006 as an assistant internal auditor for Novae Group plc.
Peter Bilsby has been appointed global head of specialty at American International Group Inc. Since 2016, Bilsby has served as CEO of the Talbot Group, AIG’s Lloyd’s of London insurance and reinsurance specialist which it acquired in July of this year as part of its purchase of Validus Holdings Limited.
Integrated specialist insurer QBE North America has promoted Kristy Kendle to regional executive – Western region. Kendle joined QBE in 2016 as a business development leader in QBE’s Western Region.
John King has been appointed chief underwriting officer for Brit Global Specialty USA (BGSU). He moves to BGSU from his current role as group executive underwriter at Brit Global Specialty in London.
Willis Towers Watson has announced the following appointments in its North America construction business:
- Jennifer S. Lanter - associate director – senior broker, construction
- Steven E. Dubiel - associate director – senior broker, construction
David Hart has been promoted to senior vice president, product head – media at Hiscox. Hart, who joined Hiscox in 2006 and manages media and entertainment insurance products in the U.S., has three decades of experience underwriting media and entertainment risks.
Aon plc has appointed Charles Maxwell Jr. managing director, resident sales leader. Most recently, Maxell served as an executive vice president at Willis Towers Watson.
Capital Insurance Group has appointed Robert Price vice president and chief financial officer. He previously served as the business unit chief financial officer at Biglari Holdings, an American holding company.
