People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: Oct. 12, 2018
News from Assurance, CoverWallet, Charity First and more.
Assurance has hired Greg Sand as a vice president with a focus on the transportation industry. He previously served as vice president, Marsh Sponsored Programs at Marsh.
Caitlin O’Neil has joined CoverWallet as chief financial officer. Prior to CoverWallet, she was the head of finance at Mark43, a SaaS (software as a service) company in the public safety space.
Charity First, an insurance program manager specializing in the nonprofit and religious sectors, has hired Margarita Paz-Cazares to handle new nonprofit business as new business underwriter. Before this, she was a senior underwriter for Amtrust/AmCom.
Specialty insurer QBE North America has announced the following appointments:
- Toria Lessman - senior vice president, head of transactional liability
- Stacey Meade - senior vice president, head of financial institutions
Pamela Thomson-Hall has been appointed head of the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) region of Willis Towers Watson, as well as the head of corporate risk and broking for the CEEMEA region. She most recently served as managing director for International.
Willis Towers Watson also announced the following appointments:
- Marisa Ruscitto - technology sales leader for its Insurance Consulting and Technology business in the Americas
- Jeffrey Hay - senior director, consulting services within the Insurance Consulting and Technology, Americas P&C practice
- Kathryn Walker - senior director, consulting services within the Insurance Consulting and Technology, Americas P&C practice
- Kelly Kinzer - head of construction broking in its Corporate Risk and Broking segment
Ascot Group has appointed Greg Wolyniec president and CEO. Wolyniec has been with Ascot since June 2017 as group head of strategy.
Cynthia Mehrtens has been appointed vice president of claims for Capital Insurance Group. Most recently, she was the vice president of claims at Indiana Farmers Mutual.
Origami Risk has announced the following appointments:
- Ken McLeod - senior sales executive
- Ho Sung - senior client executive
- Davy Silva - senior client executive
- John Carolan - sales executive
