Clearsurance, the online publisher of insurance consumer data, has forged a partnership with CoverHound, the online property and casualty insurance comparison platform. Both companies said in a press release that it is their shared mission to increase transparency for insurance consumers.
Assurant has been selected as the exclusive insurance provider for Rent Like A Champion the go-to short-term rental platform for sporting events nationwide. As a result of the new partnership, every homeowner who rents their property on Rent Like A Champion will be covered by the Short-Term Accommodations policy to protect them should any incidents occur. This includes $1 million of coverage to the homeowner for both liability protection and structural damage, as well as $50,000 in coverage for personal property within the home.
As part of a rapid expansion strategy, Bold Penguin recently added new insurance company partners including Homesite Insurance, Liberty Mutual Insurance, and Amtrust Financial to the Marketplace through the Emperor open API integration. These new send-side partners amplify the ability of Bold Penguin and existing insurance company partners, such as Hiscox, to better serve insurance consumers.
As part of its digital transformation efforts, West Bend Mutual Insurance Co. recently chose to implement the Duck Creek Suite to power all of their core operations. The insurer recently moved their Duck Creek Policy and Billing applications to Duck Creek On-Demand to improve speed to market, customer experiences, and operating costs.
Boost Insurance announced recently that it launched Paladin Cyber as its first InsurTech partner. Boost said in a press release that its platform enabled Paladin to get to market in a fraction of the time versus the industry average of 18 to 24 months.
Guidewire Software, Inc., makers of a widely-used P&C insurance platform, and the Clairus Group, the provider of glass claims management solutions to P&C insurers and fleet management companies in North America, recently announced that Clairus Group has joined Guidewire PartnerConnect™ as a Solution partner. The companies also announced that Clairus Group’s new Ready for Guidewire validated integration is now available to customers in the Guidewire Marketplace. “Our Ready for Guidewire accelerator brings a valuable offering to Guidewire ClaimCenter customers, enabling a faster integration and implementation of the end-to-end insurance automotive glass claims process,” Clairus Group Executive Vice-President Pierre Voyer said in a press release.
Roost, the provider of leader in home telematics for property insurance carriers, has partnered with HomeAdvisor, the online network that connects homeowners with pre-screened service professionals. As a result, Roost is introducing HomeAdvisor powered “Instant Plumber Connect,” which enables a timely response to urgent water leak issues, as well as easy access to their complete Home Service Professional network, all within the Roost and co-branded partner mobile apps… Roost also recently announced a partnership with Mutual of Enumclaw Insurance. The latter will begin a pilot program to offer free Roost Smart Water Leak and Freeze Detectors to select policyholders across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah and Montana.
Aon has collaborated with Pembroke Managing Agency at Lloyd’s to develop Public Protection Policy (PPP), a solution designed to help businesses provide timely financial support to individuals affected by a terrorist attack on a company’s premises or owned space.
Atlas Financial Holdings, Inc., a multi-state commercial auto insurance provider, has selected Snapsheet, the provider of virtual claims technology for the personal and commercial insurance marketplace, to implement Snapsheet Transactions to facilitate a digital early settlement process for bodily injury claims. Through the Snapsheet Transactions platform, Atlas now has the ability to dynamically populate and transmit digital releases based on business rules and claim system information; capture electronic signatures on releases, and; issue electronic settlements.
Flyreel, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution for residential and commercial property insurance, and Donan, a nationwide forensic investigation firm, are partnering to provide property insurers with AI that enables them to understand, predict and prevent risk. In the event of a claim, the partnership equips carriers with the intelligence and control to pursue subrogation.
Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company has selected the Broker Management System and Salesforce platforms from TechCanary. The insurer has also chosen TechCanary’s Professional Services to provide the expertise and experience to help the insurer meet its aggressive timeline for implementation. Wawanesa, the largest Property and Casualty (P&C) insurer in Canada with 100% broker distribution, will be using TechCanary to help manage their Broker relationships.
Marsh, a global provider of insurance brokering and innovative risk management solutions, recently announced that it is expanding its collaboration with IBM to provide clients with wider access to the commercial blockchain solution for proof of insurance. By using blockchain technology, Marsh and IBM are working together to transform the certificate of insurance process from complicated and manual, to streamlined and transparent, allowing clients to speed up necessary business functions such as hiring contractors.
Sunlight Solutions, the provider of Sunlight Enterprise, a modern end-to-end insurance platform, has announced CM Select Insurance Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Church Mutual Insurance Company, has selected and successfully deployed the Sunlight Enterprise solution. The fast cloud implementation enables CM Select to offer direct-to-customer Commercial BOP product for smaller religious organizations, giving the insurer a significant competitive advantage by successfully introducing new ways to simplify the insurance buying process.
RCM&D, the longstanding independent insurance brokerage and risk advisory firm, recently announced the formation of a strategic partnership with Risk Cooperative, a Washington, D.C. risk and insurance advisory firm and cover-holder at Lloyd’s.
Notion, the complete home monitoring solution powered by a multi-purpose IoT smart home sensor, today announced an ongoing partnership with Hippo Insurance™ to arm new Hippo customers in qualifying states with Notion Smart Home Starter Kits when they sign up for an insurance policy. By installing and utilizing the complimentary Notion kit, Hippo customers will also receive a Smart Home discount on their home insurance policy, helping reduce their premiums.
Brookside General Insurance Services Inc will make its programs available to agents using Appulate. The various programs will offer agents a real-time rating/quoting of risks, and retail agents will be able to upload ACORD PDFs as well as complete additional questions in order to receive a real-time quote. By working with Appulate, Brookside will bring automated programs to the nearly 30,000 independent agencies using Appulate nationwide.
Indio Technologies has partnered with Keystone Insurers Group to streamline the insurance application process. “We are always looking for new ways to help independent agencies grow their business and become more efficient in the process,” Keystone’s Director of Marketing Beth Bedisky said in a press release. “Partnering with Indio offers our agency partners an easy to implement and use platform that helps them streamline their clients’ commercial property-casualty insurance application process. It also allows their service teams more time to help clients address emerging and complex exposures.”
