HSB recently announced that it joined the LoRa Alliance supporting a global technology standard for IoT. As a member of the LoRa alliance, HSB will drive adoption of IoT applications and collaborate with other companies that are leading the IoT revolution. HSB offers LoRaWAN powered sensors that boost an extended range enabling them to connect throughout dispersed equipment/facilities, communicate through buildings and enable cost-effective solutions for facilities.

Assurant, the global provider of risk management solutions, recently announced it has made a strategic investment in Mojio, a technology platform and SaaS provider for connected cars, to explore digital protection and support solutions for vehicle owners and automotive partners.

CyberScout recently announced a partnership with EaseCentral, the HR and benefits SaaS platform powered by insurance brokers. EaseCentral was founded in 2012 with the goal of simplifying the set up and management of benefits, onboarding new hires, staying compliant with regulations, and offering employees one destination for all their human resources information.

Kofax®, the supplier of software to automate and digitally transform information intensive processes, today announced it has formed an alliance with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), a leading multinational professional services firm, to deliver intelligent automation solutions to digitally transform organizations and thereby improve customer engagement, reduce operating costs, mitigate compliance risk and increase competitiveness, growth and profitability. PwC chose to work with Kofax as a result of its comprehensive portfolio of software products that are needed to provide intelligent automation solutions around the globe.

Decision Research Corporation (DRC), a technology leader specializing in digital insurance solutions for the P&C insurance industry, announced the integration of Logi Analytics and DRC. Logi Analytics, the only embedded analytics solution dedicated to making mission-critical applications smarter, enables users to unlock new insights within DRC’s solution, comprised of DRC Policy, DRC Quote, DRC Billing, DRC Claims and DRC Agency Admin. The integrated solution provides a complete data “input-to-analysis” platform that enables users to access high-level information in real-time, including visualizations, reports, and trend analysis, without any IT assistance.

Topa Insurance, a P&C insurance provider, has successfully implemented Guidewire Software’s InsuranceNow for its Commercial Excess and Commercial Auto lines, and is currently working to extend it to its other commercial and personal lines. Topa’s CEO John Donahue says InsuranceNow has allowed his company to, “improve underwriting, claims, and reinsurance handling through enhanced integration, and better measure improvements and opportunities.”

Roost and New York-based Kingstone Insurance have announced a strategic partnership to deliver Roost Smart Batteries and Roost Smart Water Leak and Freeze Detectors to select new and existing policyholders.

SPLICE Software, which specializes in using big and small data and voice technologies to drive customer engagement, and Duck Creek Technologies, the provider of SaaS core systems to P&C insurers worldwide, recently announced that they have entered into a formal partnership. SPLICE is now a Solution Partner within Duck Creek’s partner ecosystem, offering solutions to Duck Creek customers through Duck Creek’s Content Exchange. SPLICE will be providing Duck Creek’s clients with API-enabled Data-Driven Dialogs® for phone, SMS messaging, and Voice-First devices like Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
