Limited time remains to enter the Zurich Innovation World Championship

Zurich North America is seeking startups and entrepreneurs in the InsurTech space to represent the U.S. and Canada and compete in the first-ever Zurich Innovation World Championship.

The championship opened on Aug. 30, 2018, with the overall winners in each country going on to regional rounds in either North America, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. The winners of the regional rounds will then take part in a final, global competition in February 2019.

Running in more than 20 countries worldwide, the championship aims to identify and potentially support and amplify innovations in the fields of mobility, smart homes and buildings, digital health and financial planning.

WInners of the championships will have the opportunity to pilot their innovation with Zurich’s customers in a country of their choice. If the pilot proves successful, Zurich will help scale the service across regional or global markets.

“We’re looking for something that will excite us and meet not only our customers’ current needs but help predict and guide their future needs,” Sumeet Bhatia, head of innovation for Zurich North America, said in a statement. “This is a compelling opportunity for startups to leverage Zurich’s scale and leadership to take their InsurTech service to the next level.
