Workers' comp champions 2018: WCI video interview

Sedgwick's Kimberly George and Safety National's Mark Walls interview the winners of NU's Excellence in Workers' Compensation Risk Management Award

The Workers’ Compensation Institute’s 73rd annual Educational Conference, hosted at the World Center Marriott in Orlando from Aug. 19-22, featured a variety of programming for myriad interests, from comp and claims professionals to agents and brokers, medical professionals and other attendees.

Two of the top minds in workers’ compensation, Mark Walls (vice president of communications and strategic analysis for Safety National) and Kimberly George (senior vice president of corporate development, M&A and healthcare for Sedgwick), hosted live installments of their “Out Front Ideas” series during the conference, one of which featured a group interview with the winners of National Underwriter’s Excellence in Workers’ Compensation Risk Management Award.

Sedgwick and Safety National co-sponsored the award once again in 2018.

Check out the video above, in which Mark and Kimberly discuss with our winners — Bill Wainscott, manager of occupational care and recovery for International Paper; Tawana Kennedy, workers’ compensation manager for the Dallas Independent School District; and Aaron J. Greer, director of human resources for Cosentino’s Food Stores — the secrets of their award-winning programs.
