Paula Downey, president and CEO of CSAA Insurance Group since 2010, has announced that she will retire following a search for her successor. Her 45-year career dedicated to serving AAA members first began after an internship with AAA in its claims department as a junior in high school.

In her role as president and CEO, Downey led the AAA insurer through a transformation aimed at improving the customer experience and launched a customer-centric strategy. The company executed this transformation while simultaneously growing revenue by $1.5 billion to $4 billion in 2018.
