Chubb has appointed Megan Watt executive vice president, head of North America claims. Prior to joining Chubb, Watt was head of claims for Everest National Insurance Company.
Lou D’Agostino and his Iron Cove Partners team have joined EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants. Prior to forming Iron Cove, D’Agostino spent 10 years with broker Frank Crystal & Co. in New York where he was a director in the financial services practice.
Nationwide has announced that Jim Fowler will join the company as chief information officer. Fowler most recently served as chief information officer for General Electric.
David T. Walton has been elected to the board of directors of FM Global. He currently serves as president and CEO of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation.
Lockton has appointed Brian Hearst senior vice president and construction manager in the Mountain West region. Hearst comes to Lockton from Parker, Smith & Feek where he worked with large and middle market clients in construction, real estate and marine construction as director of project risk services.
Coverys Managing Agency Limited, the Lloyd’s managing agent of Syndicates 1975, 1991, 3330 and 1110, has announced the following appointments:
- Robert Scott-Stewart - chief information officer
- Peter Chambers - chief technology officer, effective October 2018
Michael Giuliano has joined CorPro Underwriting Managers as a senior underwriter. He was formerly with Chubb with a focus on E&O, cyber and management liability products.
Tokio Marine HCC has appointed Susan Rivera its next CEO, effective Sept. 1, 2018. Rivera has served as Tokio Marine HCC’s executive vice president and COO since April 1, 2018.
John Hennessy of Roanoke Group Inc. has been appointed CEO and president to lead Munich Re Specialty Group Ltd.‘s expanding underwriting platform in North America. Roanoke Group Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Munich Re Specialty Group and is the parent and holding company of Roanoke Insurance Group Inc.
Sciemus, a specialty managing general agency, renamed Occam Underwriting, has announced Lance Gibbins will become chairman and CEO of the company. He previously served as chairman and acting co-CEO of Sciemus.
Sedgwick has announced the following appointments:
- Aime Harrison - head of forensic investigations in the U.K.
- John Colquhoun - U.K. forensic investigators
- Mark Ian Ross - U.K. forensic investigators
Sheri Neal has been hired as Huffman Insurance Group‘s new customer service representative (CSR). Neal has worked in the insurance business for nearly six years, mainly as a CSR.
Ed, the global reinsurance specialty broker, has appointed Patrick Jordan divisional director of marine to its London office. He joins from Lloyd’s and Partners where he served as partner since 2010.
Rob Groenen has been promoted to the newly-created Head of Benelux and Nordics for Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM). Before this, he was the general manager for LSM’s Netherlands operations.
The Hanover Insurance Group Inc. has appointed Eric C. Cernak as the head of its cyber practice. Cernak joins The Hanover from Munich Re where he most recently served as vice president and U.S. cyber practice leader for the company’s subsidiary.
Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has appointed Miguel Criscuolo executive underwriter for crisis management. Criscuolo joins AGCS from Starr Companies where he served as an underwriting manager.
After launching a new trade credit insurance division, Ascot has announced the following appointments:
- Doug Collins - executive vice president and head of trade credit
- Anthony Barrett - senior vice president of trade credit
