Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. today announced the acquisition of Belton Boisselle Ltd. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Munich Reinsurance America Inc. has announced a new U.S. commercial inland flood product to help protect small businesses and habitational properties in low to moderate flood zones. The endorsement can be attached to a business owners or commercial property insurance policy purchased through a participating insurance carrier.
AmWINS Transportation Underwriters (ATU) has partnered with Protective INsurance to provide insurance solutions for ATU’s Environment Transportation program. Enhancements to the ATU Environmental Transportation program as a result of the new partnership with Protective include: consideration of all radii — local to long-haul, and consideration of all hazardous materials classes except class 7 — radioactive materials.
FM Global has launched a free online program which trains firefighters to maximize their firefighting skills in buildings equipped with sprinkler systems. The program, “Fighting Fire in Sprinklered Buildings,” is available at no cost to firefighters.
Specialist insurer Beazley has launched a new consortium at Lloyd’s to bring increased capacity for wage and hour risks. This coverage specifically covers claims made under the Fair Labor Standards Act, which are excluded from most EPL policies.
ACORD has announced the six finalists who will advance to the final stage of the 2018 ACORD InsurTech Innovation Challenge (AIIC). The six winning finalists, which can be found on the company’s website, will face off at the AIIC International Finals, which will take place in October at ACORD Connect 2018 in New Orleans.
