Swiss Re announced today a partnership with homeowners’ insurer Security First, which will enable Florida residents to include water damage (including flood coverage) in their homeowners’ policy. Swiss Re’s model relies on technology to generate a premium based on individual characteristics such as the location of the structure, construction type, insured value, etc., rather than relying on less accurate ratings tables.
Atos and CNA Financial Corp. today announced a new multi-year relationship in which Atos will manage CNA’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, working with the insurer to transform its IT operations through orchestrated cloud migration and the rapid development of new services.
Allianz recently affirmed its belief in promoting healthy lifestyles by launching a three-year partnership with Runtastic, the Austrian fitness app company, and a division of company of Adidas. Runtastic will provide the digital platform and app to measure performances during the 90-day World Run, with additional competitions and challenges planned for the next three years.
Slice Labs Inc. recently partnered with The Co-operators to launch a new, on-demand digital insurance brand in Canada. Launching later this summer under the brand name duuo by Co-operators™, the first product will provide pay-per-use home share insurance underwritten by Co-operators General Insurance Co., for hosts using home sharing platforms like Airbnb®, HomeAway® and VRBO®.
VUE Wrap-Up™, a leading technology platform for CIP administrators, has announced successful implementation for Kapnick Insurance Group, a multi-tiered insurance company with a global reach. The VUE Wrap-Up team implemented its administration technology platform to manage insurance premiums and coverage for all contractors and subcontractors.
