Swiss Re announced today a partnership with homeowners' insurer Security First, which will enable Florida residents to include water damage (including flood coverage) in their homeowners' policy. Swiss Re's model relies on technology to generate a premium based on individual characteristics such as the location of the structure, construction type, insured value, etc., rather than relying on less accurate ratings tables.
