People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: July 13, 2018

Morgan Lewis announced that Scott Fischer, formerly the highest ranking insurance regulatory official in New York State, will join the firm on July 9. He previously served as the special deputy superintendent at the New York Liquidation Bureau where he oversaw the liquidation proceedings of more than 25 domestic insurers.

Stuart Retallick has joined Provencher & Company LLC as an executive claim manager. Among other accomplishments, Retallick has supervised and trained catastrophe claims adjusters during every major East Coast hurricane event since 1989.

Global broking company Brokerslink AG has appointed Anne Collette director of business operations. She joins from French specialist commercial insurance broker Axelliance Group.

Mark Richards has been appointed senior vice president, general liability for Brit Global Specialty USA. Prior to this, Mark launched and grew the E&S primary casualty division at Argonaut Specialty Division, a part of Argo Group.

EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants announced that Eric Kitei has joined the firm’s operations as a principal with a focus on the unique needs of auto dealers and others in the automotive industry. He joins EPIC from Sullivan Curtis Monroe Insurance Services LLC where he was senior vice president and automotive practice group leader.

Kevin Richards has been appointed to the newly created role of global head of cyber risk consulting at Marsh. Richards joins Marsh from Accenture where he most recently led its North America security practice and its global security strategy & risk practice.

Global reinsurer MS Amlin has appointed Brecht van Hoorebeke as war underwriter. He most recently served as client manager marine with Aon where he focused on risk management, logistics and insurance placement.

Sarmad Naqvi has joined EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants‘ private client insurance operations in Northern California. Naqvi joins EPIC from McDermottCosta Insurance Brokers where he served as a private client advisor for the past 10 years.

Lockton‘s Mountain West operation, which includes Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver and Seattle, has named Kevin Cummings president of its Phoenix location. He first joined Lockton in 2011.

Chris Piazza has been appointed executive vice president and head of U.S. marine insurance at Ascot. He most recently served as the national product line director for marine hull and liability at The Navigators Group.

Zurich North America has named Deirdre Manna as the new head of Head of Government & Industry Affairs. Manna comes to Zurich from the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America where she served as political engagement and regulatory affairs vice president.

Joseph Nawa has been promoted to assistant vice president in the national environmental and construction professional liability practice at RT New Day (formerly New Day Underwriting Managers LLC). Nawa joined RT New Day consultant as a consultant in 2013.

XL Catlin has announced the following leadership changes:

• Stefan Homberger - head of multinational casualty insurance in the U.S.
• Arielle Moody - promoted as team lead for the U.S. Eastern Region multinational casualty group
