For the sixth year in a row, flight compensation company AirHelp has released their ranking of 72 international airlines from best to worst. This list includes all 72 out of 73 existing airlines in the world, and ranked them on the following key factors: |

  • Quality of service claims.
  • Processing on-time.
  • Performance overall.
  • Social media sentiment.

Here's what you need to know While some of the airlines that made this year's 10 worst list had good to average on-time performance scores, their quality of service claims and processing on-time scores were very low, placing them among the 10 lowest performing airlines of the year. When it comes to dealing with lost luggage claims, flight delays and cancellations, or other situations that could throw a wrench in your travel plans, it's important to know who exactly you're flying with and what you should expect from them. If something were to go awry, these situations — especially flight delays and cancellations — could have costly impacts on the remainder of your trip when it comes to hotel reservations, car rentals, etc. That's where travel insurance pays.
