People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: June 22, 2018

The Texas Department of Insurance – Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that Cassie Brown has been appointed commissioner of workers’ compensation. Brown has served as deputy commissioner for the Texas Department of Insurance Regulatory Policy division since 2011.

Simon Matson will be appointed Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.‘s U.K. brokerage and underwriting CEO. Subject to regulatory approval, Matson, currently head of Gallagher’s London Market and Alesco businesses, will succeed Grahame “Chily” Chilton.

NationsBuilders Insurance Services Inc. (NBIS) has appointed Chris Nelson transportation program manager. He joins NBIS from Clickstop where he was the president of U.S. cargo control.

Sallie Giblin has been named president of Lockton‘s San Diego operations. Giblin has been with Lockton for 12 years in a client leadership role, most recently as executive vice president.

Aon plc has appointed Martin Jean-Baptiste senior vice president of the firm’s International Space Brokers group. Previously, Jean-Baptiste was a sales director at Thales Alenia Space.

Dwight Mankin has been named President of WebTPA, an independent health benefits administrator. He previously served as president of WebTPA’s sister company, Communitas Inc., which provides care management solutions to stop loss carriers, TPA’s and self-funded employer plans.

Liberty Mutual announced that Shaun E. Kelly has been named president of distribution for global risk solutions (GRS). Most recently, he was president of GRS’ North America specialty unit.

Brian Chu has joined EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants in Southern California as a vice president. Chu joins EPIC from the Los Angeles office of Crystal & Company, which was recently acquired by Alliant Insurance Services.
