Amica Mutual Insurance Company is deploying Salesforce and Guidewire apps to, "take customer experience to the next level." Amica plans to leverage two apps developed as part of Salesforce and Guidewire's partnership — Guidewire ProducerEngage™ and Guidewire ServiceRepEngage™ for Salesforce Financial Services Cloud. The technology will provide the insurer with a 360-degree view of policyholders, enabling richer customer engagement.

Zurich Insurance Group has acquired a minority stake in CoverWallet, the startup that, "makes it easy for businesses to understand, buy, and manage insurance online." The investment builds on a commercial partnership between CoverWallet and Zurich in Europe that was announced in February.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions, a provider of data, analytics and technology for insurance, and Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) recently announced the availability of LexisNexis telematics solutions to Mitsubishi's Road Assist+ smart phone app. The enriched app enables Mitsubishi drivers to enjoy the cost savings of usage-based insurance (UBI) without having to install telematics hardware devices in their vehicles or purchase a newer "connected car" model.

Triax Technologies, Inc., a provider of technology for the connected jobsite, has announced a partnership with United Rentals, Inc., the equipment rental company, to offer Triax's flagship Spot-r IoT system at its rental branches. Triax's proprietary Spot-r IoT sensor technology provides insights into real-time worker and asset management. The system will integrate with United Rentals' proprietary, web-based software solutions, giving construction firms a comprehensive look at equipment utilization, operator identity and site safety.

Omaha National Underwriters (ONU) recently deployed OneShield Market Solutions to provide an integrated technology offering for policy, billing, claims, loss prevention and medical case management administration for workers' compensation across the United States. "With our emphasis on leveraging web-based technologies, we needed a solution that could accommodate our unique processing needs," Naomi Wilson, chief operating officer of ONU's parent company, Omaha National Group, said in a press release.
