COUNTRY Financial® has joined Roost’s Home Telematics Program (HTP). Working with Willis Towers Watson and other insurance industry leaders, the HTP is applying advanced analytics to gain impactful insights into the effect of home installation of Roost smart sensors on fire and water loss mitigation as well as customer engagement. Roost also announced recently that it is partnership with The Weather Company | An IBM Business to deliver emergency weather alerts to the policyholders of Roost Home Telematics insurance partners. These precise and hyperlocal forecast alerts will begin rolling out as part of the Roost co-branded mobile app suite of application services. The first insurer to launch is GuideOne Insurance, with these customized weather alerts being incorporated into all future co-branded app partnerships across the US and Europe. And last month, Roost revealed a partnership with Madison Mutual Insurance to offer each of their policyholders a free Roost Smart Water Leak and Freeze Detector or a Roost Smart Battery to help increase policyholder engagement.
Nationwide recently made a strategic investment in Betterview, the provider of building and property data, to extend Betterview’s machine learning platform across additional data sources with the aim of unlocking valuable insight about commercial and residential properties for P&C insurers and reinsurers. Betterview’s machine learning platform generates data and analytics by analyzing satellite, aerial and drone imagery. Other tech-driven enterprises now under the Nationwide umbrella include Nexar, Matic Insurance, blooom, Insurify, Next Insurance, and Sure.
Rytech, the water damage restoration and mold remediation company, has subscribed to Invision™ invoicing software from VIP Software, a national provider of integrated software solutions to property and casualty insurance companies. Invision™ automates the invoice creation process through its integration with leading estimating software and delivers real-time, key performance indicators and reporting to provide the insight Rytech needs to support its aggressive growth rates.
HDI Sigorta A.Ş. (HDI), a provider of non-life/general insurance services to retail and commercial customers throughout Turkey, has selected the Sapiens Non-Life Insurance Suite (Sapiens IDIT) for policy administration, billing and claims.
Duck Creek Technologies and Verisk recently announced that the P&C company Westfield became the first to adopt a new integration between Duck Creek Technologies and Verisk that simplifies the implementation of data and analytics for commercial lines underwriters. This will give Westfield insurers real-time access to better quality data and more powerful analytics, resulting in more accurate and faster decisions and the elimination of manual data entry.
Last month, Verisk announced that Hyundai Motor America signed an exclusive agreement to join the Verisk Data Exchange™. As a participating automaker, Hyundai will supply Verisk with driving data from its consenting connected car owners.
Notion, the makers of multi-purpose IoT smart home sensors, has teamed up with HomeAdvisor, the Colorado-based marketplace connecting homeowners to prescreened professionals for home projects. The integration with HomeAdvisor, called Plumber Matching, marks Notion’s first partnership with a service provider to enable homeowners to immediately contact a local and available plumber when a water leak is detected.
