Specialty property & casualty products provider IAT Insurance Group has reached a definitive agreement to acquire IFIC Surety Group Inc. for an undisclosed amount. IFIC Surety Group consists of International Fidelity Insurance Company and its subsidiary Allegheny Casualty Company.
The Navigators Group Inc. and Protective Insurance have entered into an underwriting partnership to offer workers’ compensation to Navigators’ insureds. Workers’ compensation will now be available as a coverage option in Navigators’ portfolio of industry-specific multiline products.
International reinsurance broker UIB has launched a retail broking business in Colombia. The new company, UIB Seguros, will be led by CEO Yolanda Guerra, who will report directly to Tony Dilley, CEO of parent company UIB International.
HUB International Limited has acquired certain assets of Saffe Property & Casualty L.P. related to Saffe’s Houston operations. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Fortegra Financial Corporation has announced the creation of Fortegra Europe Insurance Company Limited (FEIC), a wholly-owned European subsidiary based in Malta. Following regulatory authorization by the Malta Financial Services Authority, FEIC is ready to write business immediately.
The 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs and the Ricketts family have announced a multi-year Legacy Partnership with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. beginning with the home opening day of the 2018 Chicago Cubs season. In this new partnership, Gallagher becomes the official insurance brokerage, benefits and risk management services partners of the Chicago Cubs and will have exclusive marketing and sponsorship rights to the Ricketts family real estate properties.
The global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services firm, has also acquired Houston-based Integrity Transportation Insurance Agency, LLC. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Catastrophe modeling firm AIR Worldwide has announced that it is collaborating with RenaissanceRe as part of a joint effort to enhance the industry’s modeling of long-tail casualty risk. As part of the collaboration, AIR is producing portfolio-specific casualty losses based on its exposure management application, Arium.
