Ross & Yerger, an employee-owned insurance agency that provides property and casualty, personal lines and employee benefit insurance products, has selected RiskMatch, a subsidiary of Vertafore, for data and analytics. The agency plans to leverage the patented digital technology to enhance service to clients in multiple industry sectors, expand insurer relationships and drive innovation transactional efficiency.

SAS®, the analytics software and service company, and The CAS Institute (iCAS), the training outfit for insurance industry professionals, have teamed to enhance of The CAS Institute’s Certified Specialist in Predictive Analytics (CSPA) credential, which provides evidence of practical knowledge in applied predictive analytics and data science in property and casualty insurance. “This is the first credential that allows insurance companies to put their SAS experts through a certification program specifically for insurers,” Sean O’Brien, vice president of SAS Education, said in a press release. “We anticipate that many of our industry customers will want their employees to pursue the CSPA.”
