Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc (JLT) has acquired International Risk Consultants (IRC), a U.S. specialist trade credit and political risk broker. From today IRC companies will be rebranded JLT Specialty USA CPS practice, JLT Asia CPS practice and JLT Brazil CPS practice.

Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones issued a Cease and Desist Order against Access Insurance Company. The Order alleges the company is conducting business in a manner that threatens to render it insolvent or in a financially hazardous condition in violation of the California Insurance Code.
