Sapiens International Corporation, the global provider of software solutions for the insurance industry, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Adaptik, a Pennsylvania-based firm that offers property and casualty (P&C) policy administration and billing capabilities for commercial, personal, specialty and workers' compensation lines of business. Sapiens says the acquisition will enable it to provide North American insurance carriers with an enhanced platform.
The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based home telematics company Roost has entered into a partnership with Erie Insurance, which selected the Roost Smart Water Leak and Freeze Detector. The deal reflects Roost's mission to become a go-to smart sensor notification platform as well as the customer engagement solution of choice for the P&C industry. Earlier this year, Roost unveiled its Smart Garage Door Sensor, which joined the company's suite of home telematics solutions that include the Roost Smart Battery and the Roost Smart Water Leak and Freeze Detector.
To enhance its underwriting capabilities, Columbia Insurance Group will deploy the InsureRight® Platform from Valen Analytics®, an Insurity company and a provider of proprietary data, analytics and predictive modeling for P & C insurers. Columbia will utilize the Predict application of Valen's platform to increase visibility and efficiency in risk selection and pricing for its workers' compensation underwriting teams.
Sylvia Group, a regional insurance, risk management and consulting firm, has selected RiskMatch, a subsidiary of Vertafore, for data and analytics, and plans to leverage the patented digital technology to enhance client service and its ability to work with insurance companies on best-in-class solutions.
Beyontec, an international company that provides its workflow-driven, fully configurable software to the P&C insurance industry, has become a member of the Verisk Strategic Alliances program. Strategic Alliances enables Beyontec to work with Verisk's ISO business and to use ISO's offerings for creating products and services for Beyontec's customers and for enhancing the capabilities of the Beyontec Suite.
The P&C insurance industry software provider Guidewire Software, Inc., recently announced that Utilant, a global software provider for the insurance industry, has joined Guidewire PartnerConnect™ as a Solution partner. In addition, Utilant's Inspection Management Accelerator, which speeds the integration between Utilant Loss Control 360 and Guidewire PolicyCenter®, has successfully completed the Ready for Guidewire accelerator validation process.
