Eight insurance companies landed on Fortune's "Most Admired 2017" companies list. Of those eight, one property & casualty firm was ranked fourth just behind Apple, Amazon and Alphabet. The "Most Admired 2017" list was compiled by Fortune in collaboration with Korn Ferry. The list started with about 1,500 candidates across 52 industries. From there, Korn Ferry asked executives, directors and analysts to rate enterprises in their own industry on nine criteria, from investment value and quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent. Nearly 350 companies received the "Most Admired" designation.
