According to the 2017 Travelers Risk Index, today's consumers are most concerned about financial health, identity theft, and personal safety.
Despite these concerns, fewer consumers and businesses believe the world is more risky than it once was. Just over half of the consumers surveyed (52%) believe the world today is getting riskier, which is down 4% over the previous year.
How did researchers arrive at these results? Travelers teamed up with Hart Research Associates to conduct an online survey of 1,016 American consumers ages 18 to 69. This was the fifth annual Travelers Risk Index report.
