All Risks, Ltd. has promoted Mike Tracy to branch manager of the property & casualty unit in the Philadelphia, Pennslyvania, and York, Pennslyvania offices. He has been brokering business for the past seven years at All Risks, Ltd. and his expertise focuses on the Northeast construction marketplace, specifically New York and New Jersey contractors.
Peter Buccinna has been appointed assistant vice president, business development manager by XS Brokers to head a new local office for the firm in East Chatham, New York. Buccinna most recently served as business development manager of Westchester, a Chubb company.
Global risk modeling and data analytics firm RMS has appointed Dr. Pete Dailey vice president to lead flood model development in its California headquarters. Dailey joins RMS from consultancy firm Urban Enterprise Partners Inc., where, as founder, he provided custom modeling solutions and analytics to insurance, reinsurance, and NGO clients.
Jason Reese has been appointed business development manager of RIC Insurance General Agency. Prior to joining RIC, Reese worked as a business development manager at Method Insurance Services, Inc., specializing in workers’ compensation.
Starr Companies has announced the following appointments and promotions:
- Matthew Taylor - vice president of extended warranty
- Joyce Segall - promoted to head of domestic accident and health covering the U.S. and Canada
- Dave Fitzgerald - global chief claims officer
- Laura Owen - head of accident & health
- Nick Lawrence - chief underwriting officer for the liabilities group
James Michael Welch has been appointed to FCCI Insurance Group's board of directors, effective October 1. Now retired from the insurance agency, Welch has been associated with FCCI as an agent for more than thirty years.
Specialty insurer Fortegra, a subsidiary of Tiptree Inc., has appointed Jon Mikow vice president of wireless. Mikow joins to Fortegra with more than 15 years of retail sales, management and financial services experience.
Henry C. Lombardi has been appointed executive vice president of NFP's property & casualty division. He was most recently at Aon where he served as the global chief broking officer and executive vice president in the company's construction and infrastructure practice.
Heritage Insurance has selected two Brightway Insurance agents to represent independent insurance agents on its agency council. Appointed Sept. 1, Dimitri J. Apostle, who owns Brightway, The Dimitri J. Apostle Agency in Charlotte, N.C., and Chris Huebener, who works for Brightway, Ponte Vedra Beach in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., will serve on the council for a one-year period.
David Warfel has been appointed head of aviation, North America, for Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, effective October 1. Based in New York, Warfel was previously head of major risks for aviation at Allianz for more than five years.
Roanoke Insurance Group Inc. has appointed Karen Groff, executive vice president of operations, to the role of president as of October 1. Groff has more than 24 years of experience with Roanoke working in the specialty insurance areas of marine cargo, liability, transportation-related bonds and ATA Carnets.
