Liberty Mutual Insurance has appointed Gregg Cunningham executive vice president, National Insurance and general manager, National Insurance Property.

Cunningham will lead the area of Liberty Mutual that provides a full range of property insurance, inland marine and equipment breakdown products and services to mid-size and large commercial consumers. He has more than 25 years of commercial insurance experience.

Prior to joining Liberty Mutual, Cunningham was chief underwriting officer for Middle Market Property at The Travelers Insurance Company. There, he led the team responsible for growing the line and improving its combined ratio ver a five-year period.

“Gregg is a seasoned, strategic and innovative insurance leader with a proven track-record in the property space,” Mike Fallon, president, Liberty Mutual National Insurance, said in a statement. “His selection to head National Insurance Property underscores our commitment to a best-in-class underwriting organization that meets the needs of our customers.”
