The insurance and finance industry software solutions company Sapiens International Corporation has announced that it intends to leverage Microsoft’s two new data centers in Johannesburg and Cape Town for its cloud-based services in South Africa. This spring, Microsoft made public its plans to launch new cloud data centers across Africa. Sapiens said these plans coincide with the imminent opening of its own new head office in South Africa.

TechCanary, a provider of a cloud-based, analytics-driven insurance-industry solution, announced in late July the availability of its Broker Management System on the Salesforce AppExchange, designed for the Canadian insurance market. The original TechCanary platform serviced the Canadian market for brokers selling group benefits products. This enhancement provides Canadian brokers and insurers with additional Canada-specific capabilities to support personal and commercial property & casualty (P&C) lines of business.
