Advanced cloud services from AWS and Microsoft Azure are just one of the selling points of CoreVelocity™, a new product from  EIS Group, the San Francisco-based provider of core systems and digital solutions for insurers. Designed to deliver sustainable insurance core and digital solutions faster and with less risk, CoreVelocity combines implementation methods, tools, and accelerators via a cloud-based managed service. EIS clients that have implemented the service include Liberty Mutual Insurance’s Benefits organization and CSAA Insurance Group.

Avis shares surged recently upon news that Waymo, the self-driving car unit of Alphabet Inc., has reached an agreement for Avis Budget Group Inc. to manage its fleet of autonomous vehicles. This is reportedly the first such deal in a fledgling field that’s “exploding with partnerships,” according to Bloomberg News.
