MetLife Auto & Home® is expanding its usage-based auto insurance program, My Journey®, with a new smartphone app to monitor and improve its customers' driving. Powered by technology from TrueMotion, the app provides drivers with quick feedback to both improve their driving and lower their auto insurance rates.

BetterView, the San Francisco-based company that captures and analyzes data from drones, has partnered with CIS Group to provide their national network of field inspectors with drone software and services. Texas-based CIS Group of Companies is a full-service claim adjusting, underwriting and appraisal services organization, serving the needs of more than 125 insurers. Its national network of inspectors, adjusters and appraisers provide the prompt, reliable and valuable information trusted by Carriers as they make their risk management and claims decisions. "In today's competitive insurance industry, there are many unique transactions that require specialized roof imagery and data," said Ballard Castleman, CEO of CIS Group. "Partnering with BetterView allows us to enhance the roof inspection process."

Safepoint Insurance Company has selected Duck Creek Technologies to modernize its property and casualty insurance core systems. The Tampa-based insurer currently offers residential and commercial property insurance products through agency partners serving customers in Florida and Louisiana. Duck Creek's policy and billing solutions will be used to improve operational efficiencies as well as support new product development that will advance business growth and expand their offerings to additional states.

Central Mutual Insurance Company (CMI) has chosen the Insurance Enterprise View data management solution from Insurity, Inc. to serve as its enterprise data warehouse and data integration hub, and for its reporting and analytics needs. Central Mutual Insurance will leverage IEV's tools and configuration capabilities to implement the application internally for both personal and commercial lines business. IEV will consolidate detailed policy, billing, and claims data together from a variety of CMI's other vendor and home grown applications, providing a comprehensive platform for enterprise reporting and analytics that will help fuel the company's continued growth.  IEV will also play a key role supporting CMI's project to modernize its policy applications.

Insurity also recently announced that Olympus Insurance Company, a Florida homeowners insurance provider, successfully implemented SIMS Claims™ as part of its plan to bring claims in-house. 

Fairport Savings Bank recently enlisted Insuritas, the provider of turn-key insurance services for financial institutions, to provide a comprehensive suite of insurance products for the banking customers and the communities it serves. "Launching our wholly owned Insurance Agency allows us to continue our commitment to providing our customers with all the financial products they need in a one stop shopping solution that focuses on price, convenience, and service," Fairport CEO Dana Gavenda said in a press release.

EIS Group, the provider of insurance core systems, recently announced that the EIS Digital Experience Platform (DXP) has integrated with and is using Microsoft Bot Framework to deliver intelligent assistant and other artificial intelligence (AI) services to insurers that augment the skills of customer service agents and enhance direct to consumer interactions to improve the quality, speed and cost-effectiveness of customer engagement.

Norman-Spencer Agency, Inc., an Ohio-based provider of property and casualty insurance services, has selected Sunlight Solutions' modern, end-to-end insurance platform to support all core functions including policy, rating, billing, claims, CRM, reporting, and insurance general ledger.
