Real estate insurance program manager Distinguished Programs Holdings LLC announced a partnership with Zurich to underwrite a new program, New York Brick & Brownstone. Developed in 2007, the program focuses on smaller New York habitational properties and insures more than 11,000 neighborhood building owners.
Allianz announced a 15-year bancassurance agreement for the distribution of its general insurance products — including travel, personal accident, fire and motor insurance products — to Standard Chartered Bank's Retail Banking clients in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and China. The new partnership arrangements in will be implemented during the course of 2017.
Duck Creek Technologies announced NIIT Technologies Limited, an IT solutions organization, has joined its Global Alliance Program as a certified delivery partner.
Insuritas has been hired by Paducah Bank to install its virtual insurance agency technology platform. Paducah has six branches serving Paducah and McCracken Counties in Kentucky.
Global advisory, broking and solutions company Willis Towers Watson announced Claudine Modlin, director in its risk consulting and software business, has been elected to the Casualty Actuarial Society's board of directors for a three-year term. Based in San Diego, Modlin leads the company's property & casualty pricing and product management efforts in North America, is a fellow of the CAS and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
Axa SA is partnering with environmental services company Suez to offer commercial flood protection products. "Suez, who are renowned for their worldwide expertise in resources management," said Rob Brown, CEO of AXA Corporate Solutions. "This strategic cooperation will allow us to unite our competencies and offer our clients an extensive range of services with regards to resilience against flood risks."
Puerto Rico-based insurer Simed has selected Oceanwide's Bridge Insurance Software Suite to support its medical professional liability line of business. Simed will be using the portal, policy administration, rating, billing, claims, document generation and reporting modules.
Specialty insurer H.W. Kaufman Financial Group has acquired Essential Insurance Services, Inc., a Colorado-based auditor whose services include general liability, worker's compensation and other auditable insurance coverages. Essential Insurance Services will become part of US-Reports, Kaufman's audits, inspections and risk management services brand.
