Members of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners Tuesday elected Ted Nickel, the Wisconsin insurance commissioner, to be the group's president for 2017.
NAIC members also elected Julie Mix McPeak of Tennessee president-elect, Eric Cioppa of Maine vice president and David Mattax of Texas secretary-treasurer.
All four of the 2017 NAIC officers were appointed to their posts by Republican governors.
