White Plains, New York-based middle market agency Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC said it has acquired San Francisco-based benefits firm Presidio Benefits Group.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Presidio Benefits Group was founded in 2006, and offers employee benefits and human resource services to employers in the San Francisco area. The company said the Presidio Benefits Group staff, including founders Alan Ikeya and Matthew Coan, will join MMA and operate as part of MMA’s existing San Francisco operations.

“I welcome Alan, Matt, and the rest of the Presidio team to MMA and look forward to working together to deliver innovative solutions that help address the myriad of risk and benefit challenges facing local businesses,” says Paul Hering, CEO of MMA’s Western Region.

MMA is a subsidiary of New York City-based insurance broker risk management company Marsh, which is, in turn, a subsidiary of professional services firm Marsh & McLennan Cos.
