The 2016 Construction Risk Conference presented by the International Risk Management Institute Inc. kicked off Monday at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Florida.

The conference officially opened Monday morning with a general session featuring keynote speaker Ronn Lehmann, an independent consultant.

Lehmann's speech focused on the importance of mindset over skill set and tool sets in construction risk. According to Lehmann, no amount of training can get workers who don't want to work safely to follow company values.
