White Plains, New York-based middle market agency Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC today said it has acquired Atlanta-based employee benefits consulting firm Benefits Advisory Group.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Benefits Advisory Group was founded in 2003, and offers employee benefit services to midsize employers throughout Georgia. The company said the entire Benefits Advisory Group staff, including owner Al NeSmith, will join MMA and operate as part of MMA’s existing Atlanta operations.
“We are pleased to have Al and his team join the Mid-Atlantic region of MMA. Benefits Advisory Group brings a complementary set of talent that will enhance our employee benefits offering in the Atlanta market,” said Thomas R. Brown, vice chairman of MMA’s Mid-Atlantic region.
MMA is a subsidiary of New York City-based insurance broker risk management company Marsh, which is, in turn, a subsidiary of professional services firm Marsh & McLennan Cos.
