Paris-based insurance and banking nonprofit Efma said it has received 224 submissions from 148 institutions in 37 countries for its first Efma-Accenture "Innovation in Insurance" (I3) awards this year.
A joint initiative between Efma and Dublin-based management consulting giant Accenture, the I3 program aims to identify the most innovative distribution and marketing projects by insurance companies. The company said the I3 awards seek to highlight the insurance sector's new challenges and showcase best practices worldwide through recognition from industry peers.
"We're creating a place where insurance companies and banks' insurance subsidiaries will be able to showcase their innovations and get to grips with the latest ideas, technologies and strategies adopted by their peers," explained Efma CEO Vincent Bastid.
