Trieste, Italy-based insurance provider Generali Group announced that the U.S. branch of its global corporate and commercial business unit has launched a new property insurance line, Tribune, which will provide property insurance for U.S. multinational corporations with operations in both the United States and abroad.
In addition, the company said it has partnered with Birmingham, Mich.-based Belfor Property Restoration to provide remediation services.
With a global capacity of up to $250 million, Tribune will be able to provide customers with the efficiencies of a centrally administered global program as well as access to local policies through regional insurance pools, Generali said during an announcement made at the RIMS 2016 conference in San Diego today.
Through the partnership with Belfor, Tribune clients will have access to the Belfor Red Alert Priority Response program, which is the loss control and mitigation service recommended for Tribune clients. Generali said it has worked with Belfor in Europe
“In an increasingly interconnected global economy, constructing a program to protect overseas assets has become more and more complex,” said Andrew Sims, senior vice president for property and construction, at Generali's global corporate and commercial unit. “Tribune was specifically designed to respond to the unique challenges of cross-border risk management for multinational corporations based in the U.S., and to avoid the pitfalls of insurance fragmentation across country lines.”
