New York City-based RIMS said it has pledged $450,000 to the Spencer Educational Foundation to fund risk management and insurance education programs.

The New York City-based foundation will receive the money in three installments of $150,000 a year over the next three years.

"The bright and talented new professionals and students that are entering the risk management workforce are a major reason why this profession continues to shine," said RIMS President Julie Pemberton. "It is imperative to support these future leaders as they take that initial step to pursue rewarding careers in this industry. That's why we're proud to partner with the Spencer Educational Foundation and support in their mission to advance the risk management and insurance profession."
