Pioneer Underwriters (Pioneer) has been approved as a coverholder at Lloyd’s for Excess and Surplus Casualty lines. Licensed to do business in 50 states, Pioneer will focus on non-admitted primary Commercial General Liability (CGL), Products Liability and Owners & Contractors Protective (OCP) and Excess Liability in lower layers. Excess Casualty will be written with capacity of up to $5 million, throughout the U.S., offering various deductible or self-insured retention options. Coverage parameters will include ISO forms and endorsements and will provide dedicated underwriting solutions for target classes of business; such as specialty contractors, service operations, and manufacturing.

The Aresty Institute of Executive Education at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Chubb Personal Insurance have awarded the first Certified Advisor of Personal Insurance (CAPI) designations to 37 agents and brokers. Created by Wharton and Chubb in 2014, the CAPI program helps agents and brokers serve as trusted advisers to high-net-worth clients. Program participants must complete 12 months of study and a project to demonstrate their mastery of the curriculum. The agents and brokers in CAPI’s first graduating class work for a variety of organizations, ranging from major global and regional brokerages to small-town, family-owned independent agencies across the U.S.
