At its Applied Net Conference, software provider Applied Systems announced the introduction of IVANS Market Appetite, a search engine for P&C insurance agencies to identify carriers' interest for specific risks. IVANS Insurance Solutions is a divsion of Applied Systems, and provides technology for carrier-agency-MGA information exchange.

The software allows agents to see a list of U.S. insurance carriers ranked by market appetite at the moment of opportunity. The company says it improves productivity by reducing the time spent on the traditional ways of identifying carrier appetite, including referencing carrier risk guides, access carrier websites, search enginges, historical agent experience or directly contracting underwriters on an individual basis.

Through this centralized source, carriers increase visibility among agency partners for stronger relationships and more opportunities to win targeted business. The software will be accessible on an open platform to all agencies using IVANS Exchange in the first half of 2016.

IVANS Market Appetite also will be accessible in the upcoming release of Applied Epic 2016 in Q4 2015. The latest release of Applied Epic will offer capabilities to manage benefits and improve sales automation. Applied Systems says that Epic Sales Automation is the industry's first fully integrated sales opportunity, pipeline, forecast and activity manager, for renewals, cross-selling, and new prospects.

When using Applied Epic 2016, agencies and brokerages can automatically allow clients to view carrier activity notes or insurer e-documents through Applied CSR24 or Applied Mobile. Agents and brokers would intiatite these workflows within Applied Epic to enable straight-through processing of insurance information directly from the carriers, through the agency, to the insured.

The company also announced the launch of Applied CSR24 2016 at the conference. Key upgrades include enhanced client self-service portal user interface, a new customer-service mobile app—Applied CSR24 MobileInsured, which is available for both iOS and Android devices—online policy premium payment and document management. Applied CSR24 2016 integrates with Epic and TAM management systems.

Agents also can expect new enhancements to Applied Mobile 2016, formerly Applied MobileProducer, which enables agency and brokerage staff to access and manage client and prospect infromation via a smartphone or tablet. Now available for both iOS and Android devices, Applied Mobile integrates with Applied Epic 2016 to deliver sales automation capabilities on the smart device. Users of Applied Mobile also will have expanded real-time access to a wider range of client and prospect documents.
