W. R. Berkley Corporation announced that Louis Lubrano has been named president of Berkley Product Recall Management, bringing with him more than 30 years of property/casualty insurance industry experience, including more than 10 years as a crisis management leader. Philip Rorty has been named chief underwriting officer, bringing with him nearly 40 years of insurance and risk management experience as both an insurance leader and a corporate risk manager. Tamra Maupin will join as chief operating officer, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the insurance market. They join W. R. Berkley's new division, Berkley Global Product Recall Management.
American International Group, Inc. (AIG) announced the appointment of Douglas A. Dachille as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. Dachille will join AIG's Operating Committee. Prior to joining AIG, Dachille served as Chief Executive Officer of First Principles Capital Management, LLC for 11 years. His career began at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he held various positions, including Global Head of Proprietary Trading and co-Treasurer, and built the Hybrid Derivatives business.
Riskconnect has hired Quin Rodriguez as director of Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) Sales. Rodriguez brings more than 18 years of executive sales management and leadership experience to Riskconnect, including 10 years in the GRC sector. Rodriguez will lead the expansion of Riskconnect's GRC service reach.
Jill Cantarino has joined All Risks, Ltd. as a property and casualty brokerage underwriter. Based in the Atlanta office, Cantarino will focus on binding authority business for general liability, property, umbrella, and professional liability. Her focus will be on southeast states, such as Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. Cantarino brings 20 years of insurance experience to All Risks. Prior to joining All Risks, Cantarino served as territory manager for the state of Georgia at Federated National Insurance Company in Sunrise, Fla.
Willis Group Holdings announced the appointment of Thomas Messer as regional leader of aviation in Latin America. Messer joined Willis in 2002 and most recently served the Latin America region in the aerospace reinsurance market. In his new role, he will oversee insurance and risk management solutions and will be based in Miami.
Argo Group International Holdings Ltd. annnounced the hiring of Stephen McGill in the newly-created role of global head of Professional Lines, effective September 1. With more than 27 years of insurance industry experience, McGill will lead Argo's Professional Lines business globally. Most recently, he served in the position of global product leader for D&O and Financial Institutions business at XL Catlin.
Willis Group Holdings has appointed Nick Dussuyer as global head of Willis' Natural Resources Industry. Prior to joining Willis, Dussuyer served at BearingPoint as a member of the global Natural Resources leadership team and the Partner in charge of Resources & Utilities in the UK & Ireland. He also led the Global Business Strategy & Transformation team. Dussuyer will be based in Willis's London office.
Matt Brott has joined AmWINS Brokerage of Georgia as executive vice president. Brott brings to AmWins over 30 years experience. His most recent position was head of Swett & Crawford's Atlanta operations and also served as a National Commercial Real Estate Practice Leader. Based in Atlanta, GA, Brott will assist in the solicitation, design, marketing and placement of high hazard and catastrophe-exposed commercial property programs. Rob Vecchio also joined AmWINS Access Insurance Services as vice president. With 15 years of insurance industry experience, he will specialize in habitational, lessors risk, restaurants, bars/taverns and coastal property. Also joining AmWINS Access Insurance Services as vice president is Nick Oliver. Oliver most recently served as an underwriter and broker for Insurance House. In his new capacity, he will be responsible for production and underwriting policies for AmWINS' binding authority markets.
Pioneer Underwriters announced the appointment of Jim Pratte as executive vice president for its newly-created Excess & Surplus Casualty division. Pratte brings to Pioneer 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. Pratte comes from Maxum Specialty Insurance Company (MSIC), where he led the Primary and Excess lines portfolio.
