Craig Sparks, non-executive Chairman of Union Standard, was awarded the “Raymond Mauk Leadership Award” on Thursday, July 9, in Austin, Texas, at the 23rd Annual Insurance Council of Texas (ICT) Mid-Year Property and Casualty Symposium. Sparks is the 18th recipient of this prestigious award, which is presented each year by ICT at its annual symposium. As the council’s highest honor, it recognizes individuals whose contributions have made a significant difference in the insurance business.

Lockton announced its appointment of Jay Chappell as Chief Operating Officer for its Lockton Dallas/Fortworth property-casualty operations. Chappell brings more than 20 years of strategic planning and business development experience and will lead a team of 125 associates in both Dallas and Fort Worth. Chappell will provide leadership and strategic business oversight for client service for Lockton’s risk management. With an emphasis on Fortune 1000 and middle market companies, the operation serves more than 800 clients.
