Farm Bureau Property and Casualty Insurance Co. selected Accenture Duck Creek Claims software for its personal lines, commercial lines and workers' compensation businesses.
Vehicle telematics provider Vehcon has partnered with Verisk Insurance Solutions to help insurers collect validated vehicle odometer readings for insurance rating, underwriting and usage-based programs. The product, OdometerConfirm, enables carriers to capture odometer readings using a policyholder's smartphone. Data automatically is sent to Vehcon's back-end systems, where the mileage is extracted and authenticated before being reported to an insurance carrier.
Xuber, Xchanging's insurance software business, secured a contract with P&C reinsurer Ariel Re. The six-year contract includes Xuber's policy, claims, billing and software suite for the carrier's Lloyd's and Bermuda businesses.
Sapiens International Corp. announced the go-live of the Sapiens Reinsurance solution at West Bend Mutual Insurance Co., a U.S.-based P&C insurer that offers products throughout the U.S.
Columbia Insurance Group expanded its commercial lines download from IVANS, a division of Applied Systems, to include commercial property, general liabilty, package and workers' compensation insurance.
Nearly 100 insurance companies are using Wdesk, a cloud-based productivity platform from Workiva.
New Software:
HP announced at IASA 2015 a new accelerator: The HP Exstream augments the existing capabilities of Accenture Duck Creek Policy to help insurers transact business more efficiently through digital channels and connect with multimedia consumers.
Accenture also launched Customer Insights Solution, an integrated software available in the cloud or on-premise, which gives insurers access to and management of new distribution models. The software uses Accenture Duck Creek Policy as the core administration platform.
Vertafore unveiled its newest carrier solution with Carrier Analytics, which provides an untapped view of the personal lines market through advanced customer and industry data and insights. This platform draws on a unique data set of actual real-time market activity. In addition, the company upgraded its ImageRight 6.0 software, which now offers user-centric design, mobility and simplified workflow.
Cloud Sherpas, a provider of cloud advisory and technology services, released eContact Center and Producer Direct, two new cloud-based solutions for insurance companies built on the Salesforce platform.
