Allstate was able to reunite a 1972 Corvette Stingray like the one pictured with its original owner 43 years after it was stolen and her claim had been paid out.

(Bloomberg) — Terry Dietrich celebrated her 62nd birthday by reigniting a teenage romance.

The 62-year-old accountant from Duluth, Ga. was finally reunited last week with the 1972 Corvette Stingray that was stolen from her more than 40 years ago. She described the vehicle as her “first love,” according to a statement Monday from Allstate Corp., the insurer that worked with government officials and a car dealer to trace the Corvette’s past.
