(Bloomberg) — Terry Dietrich celebrated her 62nd birthday by reigniting a teenage romance.
The 62-year-old accountant from Duluth, Ga. was finally reunited last week with the 1972 Corvette Stingray that was stolen from her more than 40 years ago. She described the vehicle as her "first love," according to a statement Monday from Allstate Corp., the insurer that worked with government officials and a car dealer to trace the Corvette's past.
"That car, I hope, will never leave my sight again," she said in phone interview. "It needs a lot of love and attention. I want to restore that car, I want to bring it back to life."
