Think U.S. earthquakes only happen in California? You'd be surprised to know that in fact, all 50 states have had earthquakes since 1900.

Interstate Restoration gathered facts about U.S. earthquakes in preparation for April's Earthquake Preparedness Month and put them together in an infographic (below). According to the graphic, earthquakes occur in every U.S. state and can happen without any warning. And although California is the state with the most frequent damaging earthquakes, it isn't the state with the greatest number of tremors. That designation goes to Alaska.
