Spencer Re hired Tina Mallie as CEO. In her new role, Mallie will support the continued expansion of Spencer Re, focusing on reinsurance products that are predictable in nature, including products sold by American auto dealers, direct marketers and loan providers.
Brownyard Group announced two promotions and the hiring of a new client service specialist. Maggie Hammarth was promoted to account manager of Brownyard's underwriting department, and Ruth Connelly was promoted to underwriting assistant. LeAna Anderson joins the group as client services specialist.
EvoSure announced the expansion of its advisory board to include Peter Lynch, a 20-year veteran in insurance and technology.
New Programs
V3 Insurance Partners expanded and enhanced its online Workers' Compensation program and added National Liability & Fire Insurance Co., a Berkshire Hathaway Group company, as a new market.
In preparation for the rise of commercial drones around the world, ISO launched new and versatile coverage options that address the growing liability exposures associated with commercial drones.
Mergers & Acquisitions
USI Insurance Services acquired an insurance program business from Askin, Weber and Reed. USI Affinity, a division of USI, will be the insurance member benefits broker and administrator for the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, providing life, disability, long term care, accidental death & dismemberment and business overhead expense insurance to cover the needs of members in private and public practices.
Meeker Sharkey Associates merged with James F. Hurley Insurance Agency of Bedminster, N.J. The merger allows Meeker Sharkey and Hurley to broaden its client base, strengthen its combined knowledge base with a deeper team of talented individuals and provide a wider array of carrier representation.
