State Farm unveiled its latest mobile app, CarCapture, available for iOS and Android, which allows the consumer to capture a picture of the back of a vehicle and instantaneously obtain detailed information through object recognition technology.
Backed by State farm and Edmunds.com, a car shopping website, the details provided by the CarCapture service assist consumers in making an informed car-buying decision. Using CarCapture, consumers can take a photo of a car and instantly obtain information, such as the make, model, body type, year range, features, safety information, customer reviews and more regarding the vehicle.
Images, as well as Edmunds' True Market Value, potential dealership locations and State Farm insurance quotes are also provided through the application.
