Prosecutors say 40 Chinese nationals jumped at the sales pitch. The drivers traveled to Massachusetts and met with Lefen “Helen” Chen, who helped them apply for auto coverage. All of the drivers lied and said they lived in the Bay State.

Xin Han Chen, Ting Zhang and Huai Dong Gu saved an average of more than $1,100 over similar auto coverage in New York. It was well worth the short hop to Massachusetts.
